I am the great grand nephew of Albert Victor Prentice, who was killed in the Somme 14th November 1916. I have done quite a lot of research on him, and I have his victory medal, although I don't know what happened to his silver war medal, his 14-15 star or death penny. I am desperate to locate a photograph of him, as I want to put a face to his name. He was born in Poplar 1893 the son of Charles Prentice and Ellen Hodgeson. Are there any male Prentice descendants of Capt. Thomas (The Trooper) Prentice on this site? I am a direct descendant of Thomas Prentice b 1632 of Cambridge/Newton MA, and reported to be the son of Robert Prentice of Roxbury, MA and nephew of Thomas the Trooper. Hello There,
I am searching for any information on my paternal blood line.
In particular my Great, Great, Great Grandfather and Grandmother Thomas Prentis (or Prentice) born (possibly) 1795, died 1865 in Gravesend, Kent UK and his wife Louisa/Lucy Prentis (or Prentice)(nee Leggett). they were married in Milton in 1819 and as far as I can see had only one child my Great Great Grandfather James Prentis, born 1827. This is all I can find on the and can go no further back, so have hit a wall with my family tree.......can anyone help?
