Hi! I've recently discovered I'm a Prentice via DNA, descending from William T Prentice and Annie Prentice (first cousins), via their son George Prentice b.1881 in Aston, Birmingham, England. Sadly, George died at aged 30, killed by a train when out collecting coal. He never even knew my great grandmother was pregnant, and the birth certificate was left blank (they were not married). My Granny is called Georgina after him. DNA helped me find him, and then I found this website. I'm still in Birmingham and it's amazing to see this wonderful website. It's been so helpful - thank you.

Hello, My grandfather is Alfred Prentice. His parents are Alfred Thomas Prentice and Josephine Ellgath. His grandparents are James Alfred Prentice and Paulina Elizabeth Skinner. My grandfather only had one sister who passed away at birth. His mother passed when he was young and was raised by his grandmother. I’ve never met anyone from his side of the family.

Trying to learn more about the Prentice line of my family. Last named "Prentice" was Abigail (1745-1837) daughter of Nathaniel and Abigail (Ware).
