Hello all, my father was Joseph R. Prentice, born Jan 6, 1911 in Hebron, NE USA/ left this world Feb. 6, 1990. Son of George Prentice, grandson of Joseph R. Prentice, Medal of Honor received at the U.S. Civil War battle of Stones River, Tennessee, Dec. 31, 1862. The youngest boy of 7 children of Joseph Prentice and Helen Mabel Portell Prentice of Potosi, MO USA, I would be happy to answer any questions about my family as best as I can, which I regret to say is not extensive. Hello, I am Cynthia, daughter of David Goodwillie Prentice and grand-daughter of James Isaac Prentice from East Calder, but who moved to East Wemyss, Fife. I know that both my great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather were both Isaac Prentice from the Calder region of West Lothian. I know that this was a large family and certainly remember an Auntie Jeannie who stayed in East or West Calder, but I would love to know about the rest of the family. I am near Edinburgh in West Lothian and would love to meet any distant cousins! also if anybody is related and has news about cousins having emigrated, I would love to know about them. I have doen quite a lot of genealogy but need to go to Parish records now....... much more difficult! Thank you for reading, Cynthia
