Pauline L. (Prentice) Kistler

Pauline L. Kistler, 72, George Street, died Friday, May 22, 1987. at Bellevue Hospital. She had been in failing health for the past nine months. The funeral for Mrs. Kistler was held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, May 25, at the Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home with the Rev. Susan Tipton of Lyme Congregational Church, Bellevue, officiating. Burial was in McPherson Cemetery. Friends were received at the funeral home Sunday evening.

She was born July 5, 1914, in Fremont, the daughter of Dr. Carl and Ethel (Hess) Prentice. She married Wayne Kistler in 1938 [corrected from 1968] and he preceded her in death in 1968.

She was a 1932 graduate of Clyde High School and had attend Tiffin Business College. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Buttons and Bows Square Dancers and Senior Citizens Club of Sandusky.

She was a homemaker.

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs Richard (Diane) Stephens, Bellevue; a son David Kistler, Sandusky; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded by a brother, Harold Prentice.

The family suggests that memorials, if desired, may be to the Lyme Congregational Church, Bellevue.

Pauline L Kistler married Wayne Kistler on July 15, 1938, not in 1968 as this obituary states.
