Lily May (Prentice) Horn

Miss Lily May (Prentice) Horn passed away at the home she shared with friends, Allen and Sue Horn, on April 6, 2005. Visitation will be held Sunday, April 10, from 6-8 p.m. at D. W. Newcomer's Sons White Chapel, 6600 N. Antioch Road, Gladstone. Funeral services will be held Monday, April 11, at 2 p.m. at White Chapel. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens. Miss Lily was born to the proud parents of Mr. Marvin Cecil Prentice and Ruby Melissa Myers Prentice on April 3, 1930. He called her Daddy's little girl. Miss Lily was born in Kansas City, MO and lived here all of her life in Clay County. Miss Lily is a Christian and read the Bible daily and has enjoyed teaching children in Sunday school. She loved playing with children and sharing in family gatherings, yet a quiet person, spoke softly, very much a lady. Miss Lily worked for TG&Y and for Sandt's Family Hardware. Miss Lilly was preceded in death by her mother, Ruby, and her baby brother, Loren Lee Prentice. She is survived by her father, Marvin Cecil Prentice (is 99 in May); two sons, Robert Allen Horn, in California, and Richard David Horn of Belton, MO; one granddaughter, Maria Lutes; and two great grandsons.
