Isabel (Sis) Buchanan Prentice
Born in Seattle, Washington on August 18, 1928 to Hugh and Isabel McGowan Prentice. Died October 3, 2018 in Seattle, Washington. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings Hugh Cameron and Jack McGowan.
She is survived by Nancy L. Currie, her best friend of many decades, several nieces and nephews, and many friends.
In 1942, Sis christened a small warship in Seattle that became Jacques Cousteau's Calypso. She graduated from Queen Anne High School in 1946.
Sis was an accomplished athlete, playing women's fastpitch softball for the Seattle Epicures in the 1950s and '60s. Sis was voted unanimously into the Seattle-Metro Hall of Fame and inducted into the Northwest Fastpitch Hall of Fame.
A private interment is planned.
