James "Jim" R. Prentiss of Lake Wales, Florida passed away Saturday, September 24, 2016 at Good Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale.
He was born on April 5, 1936 in Indiana to the late Richard and Betty (Darrah) Prentiss. He has been a resident of the area since 1992 coming from Indiana. He was a Private Business owner. He was a member of the Elks Club and VFW. He was a Veteran in the United States Army.
He is Survived by his wife of 3 ½ years Carolyn Prentiss, daughters Jackie Prentiss of Westville, IN, Jeri Prentiss of Lake Wales, FL, son Michael Prentiss and wife Suwanna of Lawton, OK, sisters Sandy Mosier of Westville, IN, Karen Bannwart and 3 grandchildren.
Memorial service will be held 11:00AM Thursday, September 29, 2016 at Johnson-Nelson-Gill Funeral home with Rev. David Durham officiating
