Obituary for John B. Prentiss
John B. Prentiss, 44, of Foxridge Court, died at 10:31 p.m. Friday, May 18, 2007 at the Columbus Regional Hospital Emergency Room. John was born in Cincinnati December 15, 1962. He was a 1980 graduate of Walnut Hills High School in Cincinnati, received a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from University of Cincinnati in 1985 and a master’s degree in business administration from Indiana University in 2003. John was a purchasing manager at Cummins, Inc. since 1986 and was active in the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and the Society of Automotive Engineers. He was a Columbus Parks & Recreation soccer coach and a past president of the Broadmoor Neighborhood Association. The funeral will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Rev. Dennis McCarty officiating. Calling will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday and from 9:00 a.m. until service time Thursday. Cremation is planned following the service. Private inurnment will be at the Garland Brook Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Eric and Rachel Prentiss Scholarship Fund through Centra Credit Union; cards are also available at the funeral home.
