STERLING -- Beverly Ruth Prentice, 92, of Sterling, died Saturday, March 28, 2015, at Regency Care Center in Sterling.
Beverly was born Dec. 9, 1922, in Sterling, the daughter of Joseph and Ruth (Tarvin) Oswald. She married Anthony Prentice on Aug. 8, 1942, in DeKalb. He preceded her in death in December 1978.
Beverly worked as a licensed practical nurse for many years, and had been employed by the Dixon State School. Beverly was a longtime member of the United Methodist Church in Sterling.
Survivors include one daughter, Pam (Richard) Luptak of Sterling; two sons, Chuck (Cindy) Prentice of Eugene, Oregon, and Gary Prentice of Sterling; one sister, Phyllis Oswald of Sterling; two brothers, Bob (Almeda) Oswald of Arlington Heights, and Bill (Sue) Oswald of Oroville, Washington; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Twila Garrett and Imogene Kroll; one brother, Chuck Oswald; and two grandchildren, Anthony Prentice and Audrey Prentice.
Private family services will be held.
