Thalke Aggen Haaren
#31, Thalke Aggen Haaren, is the daughter of Agge Ameling Haaren and Hilke Dirks.
Born 1817 and died 1896.
At this time we know little about Thalke's birthplace.
She, with her sisters Greetje and Anna, are 3 children of Agge and Hilke. There probably are more brothers and sisters who have not yet been found.
Engerhafe church records indicate that during the years 1836 through 1858, when her children were born, Thalke and her husband lived at Munkeboe.
We also don't know when she came to America, but if her son, Geike, immigrated in 1860, she may have come with him. Like her husband, Harm, she may have initially settled in Peroria with her family. The mother of six children, her youngest child, her son Amling, was born in 1854 when she was 37. Thalke died in 1896, probably in Peoria, at the age of 79 years.
She married Harm Gaiken on about 1835 at Munkeboe, Ostfriesland.
