Who are Anna Prentice's Parents?

Although conjecture at this point, her father may be Thomas Prentice of Verango, PA , about whom we have an article in our Summer 2001 issue.

Thomas was b. c. 1772 (per headstone) in MA and d. 10 Oct 1863, Erie Co., PA. He appears in the 1850 Verango census at age 78, with his 3rd wife, Jemima. Both are buried in Lowville Cem., Lowville, Erie Co., PA.

Thomas had earlier married, as his 2nd wife and as her 2nd husband, Wealthy Hibbard, widow of Jacob Hibbard. We know that Jacob and Wealthy had at least 1 child, Israel Hibbord, b. 10 Mar 1825 in Monroe, Ashtabula Co., OH and that after Jacob's death, Israel was raised by his step-father, Thomas Prentice, in Verango.

Given Thomas' presence in Verango, it is possible that he may be the father of Anna, b. 16 Jun 1827 in Verango.
