Janns Habben Folkerts
#28, Janns Habben Folkerts is the son of Folkert Frerichs Janssen and Anna Elizabeth Jacobs.
Born 2 Feb 1808 in Westermarsch, Ostfriesland. Died probably after 1844.
It is unknown at this time if Janns immigrated to America. One would suppose that he did since his son, Harm, married in 1869 in Peoria; it seems more likely than not that Harm would have accompanied his parents to America. Janns' name does not appear in the 1880 Peoria, IL U. S. Census, nor does there appear to be any family with a name Folkerts, or similar spelling, with a head of household 72 years of age. It might be that Janns died in Peoria sometime before the 1880 Census.
He married Gretje Harms Hillrichs on 13 Feb 1838 at Norden, Ostfriesland..
