Elizabeth C. Eyanson
#21, Elizabeth C. Eyanson is the daughter of George Eyanson and Barbara Eckenrode. She was born, 18 Apr 1818, in Des Moines, Polk, IA. Died, 1873, in Missouri, (home of dau.). Burial: 1873, in Decatur, Adams, IN.
She married, as his first wife, John Roland Harris Prentice on 16 Nov 1837, in Lancaster, Fairfield, OH545. Children:
- i. Joseph Rollin7 Prentice.
- ii. Eliza "Liza" Ann Prentice.
- iii. George Eyanson Prentice.
- iv. Margaret Elizabeth Prentice.
They later moved to Missouri where John Paul died in 1866, apprently while trying toford a river on horseback too soon after a heavy rainstorm.
Elizabeth was originally buried in Missouri, but was later disinterred at her son Joseph's request and reinterred in Decatur by her parents' graves.
