Update of 22 Sep 2008: William W. Prentice is #140.1 in our John-3 eBook. This article is now merged into that eBook.

1. William W. Prentice, b. Sep 1827, MA, appears in the 1900 Berkshire Co., MA census. Binney's 1883 edition, at pg. 381, says William was a wheelwright and that the family had been living in Becket, Berkshire Co., MA. He appears in the 1850 Becket, Berkshire Co., MA census as unmarried and not living at home.

He m. Ophelia L., b. Jun 1829, MA. Children, according to Binney and the 1900 census:

  1. William C. Prentice, b. Nov 1853, MA and living with his parents in the 1900 census.

Binney also said that Emily Prentice, 32 years older than William and b. c. 1795, was living with William's family.

Binney's format on pg. 381 in confusing, but it appears that in a separate entry for a William and Ophelia Prentice, he relates that William was a carpenter, born in Worthington, Hampshire Co., MA, that Ophelia was born in Chelsea, MA, and that they also had a daughter:
