The names of his parents was not indicated in the census record. No other Prentices are shown in Van Buren County census.
William subsequently appears in later census records for 1900 Cheboygan Co., MI and 1910 and 1920 Kent Co., MI with his wife, Eunice Louisa Potter who he m. on 30 Apr 1896, Goblesville, Van Buren Co., MI.
