1. George Prentice was b. c. 1812 in PA. He was a coppersmith. George appears in the 1850 Louisville, Jefferson Co., KY census with his wife, Clemantine, b. c. 1828, in KY. (Note: in the 1860 census his wife is called "Rosanah" and in the 1870 census, "Rosa." Children:
(1) Henry D. Prentice, b. Feb 1850, KY, m. Georgianna/Anne, b. Dec 1856, KY who was living with her son Henry in the 1910 Louisville census. Children: a. William J. Prentice, b. 1875. b. Edward A. Prentice, b. Jul 1877, KY. He d. 21 Dec. 1953, Jefferson Co, KY at age age 76. In 1910 & 1920 Louisville, Jefferson, KY census with his wife, Nellie G., b. c. 1880, KY and children: 1. Nellie M. Prentice, b. c. 1902, KY. 2. Alberta M. Prentice, b. c. 1904, KY. 3. Clarence K. Prentice, b. c. 1909, KY. 4. Mary Louise Prentice, b. c. 1914, KY. 5. John Edward Prentice, b. c. 1916, KY. c. Harry/Henry Edwin Prentice, b. 1879, KY. He is probably the Harry R. Prentice who d. 4 Dec 1940, Jefferson Co., KY at age 61. A Clark Co., IN marriage record (27/532) shows a Harry Prentice m. Rosalee Hoeger on 18 Sep 1925. He is probably the Harry Prentice who appears in the 1920 Louisville census with his (2nd?) wife, Rosalee, b. c. 1897, KY; she is probably the Rosalee M. Prentice who d. 18 Jun 1978, Jefferson Co., KY at age 80. Children: 1. Thelma Prentice, b. c. 1908, KY. 2. George Prentice, b. c. 1910, KY. 3. Lucille Prentice. b. c. 1912, KY. 4. Louise Prentice, b. c. 1916, KY. 5. Juanita Prentice, b. c. 1917, KY. d. Claude Prentice, b. May 1882, KY. He m. Nellie K. Collins on 15 Mar 1907 in Clark Co., IN. In 1910 & 1920 Louisville, KY. He d. 15 Sep 1957, Jefferson Co., KY at age 76. census with his wife, Nellie, b. c. 1891, KY. Children: 1. Catherine Prentice, b. c. 1913, KY. e. Arthur Prentice, b. Dec 1883, KY. He m. Lillie Niner on 22 Jul 1908 in Clark Co., IN (rec. 5/586). In 1910 & 1920 Louisville, KY census with his wife, Lillie, b. c. 1892, KY. Children: 1. Arthur D. Prentice, b. c. 1910, KY. He d. 22 Oct 1992, age 82, Jefferson Co., KY. (2) Sallie Prentice, b. c. 1851, KY. (3) Fanny M. Prentice, b. c. 1859, KY. (4) Mary I. Prentice, b. c. 1861, KY. (5) Cornelius Prentice, b. c. 1866, KY and d. 14 Jun 1950, Jefferson Co., KY at age 84. He is also recorded as a machinist at H.J. Lewis & Bro. at 418 15th, Louisville, Kentucky. He may have been deceased by 1920 as she was living with parents in 1920 Louisville census. c. Mamie H. Prentice, b. c. 1900, KY. d. Rosa M. Prentice, b. c. 1895, KY. e. Harry W. Prentice, b. c. 1901, KY. He d. 24 Apr. 1969, Jefferson Co., KY at age 68.
