Update of 12 Sep 2000: Frederick A. Prentice is almost certainly Frederick Ambrose Prentice, a son of Joseph C. Prentice and Sarah McLargin. Joseph is #7702 in our Prentice database and a descendant of the emigrant, Valentine Prentice.
However, we still seek confirming documentation as well as information about his brothers and sisters.
Original Article: Frederick A. Prentice, b. c. 1874 in OH, appears in the 1910 Grand Rapids, Kent Co., MI census and the 1920 Detroit, Wayne Co., MI census, with his wife, Lucinda E., b./ c. 1879 in MI, and their children:
- Bearl D. Prentice, b. c. 1896, MI.
- Luella V. Prentice, b. c. 1908, MI
Also living with them in 1920 is Lyman A. Nelson, called "Father in Law," perhaps indicating Lucinda's maiden surname was "Nelson."
Frederick does not appear in the 1880 MI or 1880 OH census.
