Prentice is a physician and, living in the same town as Samuel, a physician, is likely Samuel's son. Fn. 3 Fletcher Prentiss is EDB 20077, son of Isaac Prentice whose roots are sought by Lenwood Prentice. Fletcher also appears in the 1870 MO census. Fn. 4 John Prentiss is almost certainly the son of William and Ann Prentiss in the 1850 Aquackanac, Passaic, NY census.
