Fn. 1	Emily S. Prentiss is the widow of Daniel Webster Prentice, 148/235.  See 1870
	and 1880 census also.

Fn. 2	Annie Prentis is the sister of Helen Bidy.  Augustin is the son of 
	Augustin Prentiss and a desc. of Thomas Prentice, The Trooper

Fn. 3	William C. Prentis  is the son of Charles A. Prentiss in the 1900 census.
	Julia's maiden surname may be Watkins as a SIL, Catherine Watkins, is living 
	with them.

Fn. 4	Alice, Anna, Minnie and Sue Prentiss  There are 4 footnotes with this 
	number: Anna, Sue G., Alice J. and Minnie are all sisters.  The seem not to appear 
	in the 1900 NY census.

Fn. 5	Cora E. Prentice appears in the 1900 Elmira, Chemung, NY census 
	as the wife of William E. Prentice, b. Aug. 1875, NY; his roots have not yet 
	been found.
