1. Richard James Prentiss was b. 21 Dec 1916 in New York City, NY, and d.23 Mar 1996 in Oklahoma City, OK. Bur.as Lt. Richard J. Prentiss in Resurrection Memorial Cem., Oklahoma City, OK. He enlisted in the US Army in WW II and was a 1st Lt.
He is likely the Richard Prentiss who m., as her 2nd husband, Mildred Mangwasser, "Millie," , dau. of John and Frances Mengwasser. Mildred was b. 18 Mar 1926, Electra, TX, and d, 15 Feb 2018, Oklahoma City, OK. Her obituary reads as follows:

"Millie" Prentiss May 18, 1926 - Feb. 15, 2018 OKLAHOMA CITY Millie was born in Electra, TX to John & Frances Mengwasser.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; and her son, Ronald Foster.
Millie is survived by sons, Tom Foster (Jane), Bobby Foster (Dorothy), and William "Billy" Foster (Linda); seven grandchildren, Karry, Brian, Sarah, Stacie, Tami, Paul, and David; 17 great-grandchildren and two great-great- grandchildren.
Visitation will be Monday, Feb. 19, 2018, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2018, at Epiphany of the Lord Catholic Church.
Apparently Richard and Mildred did not have childrn of their own.
The Social Security Applications and Claims Index, 1935-2007 indicates that Richard was born:
- Richard James Prenzlau, son of
- Herbert Nathan Prenzlau (b. 5 Oct 1885, Hamburg, Germany, and d. Jan 1967, New York,
New York Co., NY), and
- May Hillman (b. 17 May 1892, Kings Co., NY, and d. 22 Feb 1971, Carmel, NY, age 78.
