Cleveland Daily Banner (TN) - Thursday, April 2, 2015: Sydne T. Prentice

Sydne T. Prentice, 71, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Sunday, March 29, 2015, in a local hospital. He was born on March 22, 1944, in Hayward, Calif., a son of the late James and Hazel Prentice.

He and his family have made Cleveland their home for the past 17-plus years. He worked for many years until his retirement as a fork lift operator. He enjoyed working with antique autos and trading them.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife, Diana Prentice; three daughters: Debbie McDonald, Robin Byrd (Phillip) and Dawn Hegwer (Todd); two sons: Dennis Prentice and Robert Prentice (Judy); 14 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; numerous other extended family members; and a host of special friends.

A celebration of his life is planned for Saturday, April 4, 2015, at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Companion Funeral Home, 2419 Georgetown Road, with Pastor Michael Little officiating. Interment will follow in the Lee Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel on Saturday from 1 until the 3 p.m. service time.
