1. (Unknown) Prentiss was b. c. 1920-1924, perhaps, or perhaps not, in Gainesville, FL, where his wife died. He is not mentioned in her obituary and they may have been divorced or he predeceased her.

He m. Donna Fiske, b. 23 Dec 1924 and d. 12 Jun 2009. Her obituary reads as follows:

    Donna Fiske Prentiss 12/23/1924 to 06/12/2009 Donna passed away peacefully at home on June 12, 2009.

    She is survived by her son and daughter Doug and Fran Prentiss, granddaughter Jennifer Prentiss, grandson Doug Prentiss Jr. and his wife Jessica, and great granddaughters, Taylor Prentiss and Kaylen Prentiss.

    Donna served as a volunteer member of our armed services during World War II where she learned to fly and earned her private pilots license. She worked as the Ambassador's Secretary for United States Embassies in Turkey, Israel, Haiti, Mexico, Honduras, and Paris. One of her more memorable adventures was driving her 1973 Chevy Monte Carlo from Ankara Turkey to her new assignment in Paris France. She served during numerous presidential administrations working personally with Jimmy Carter and George Bush Sr. She was a loving mother and inspiring person who will be missed by all that knew her.

    A family gathering to celebrate her life will be held at her home on Sunday June 14, 2009. Arrangements are under the care of Forest Meadows Funeral Home, Cemeteries, and Crematory 352-378-2528.
