1. Frederick Prentice may have been b. c. 1920-1940, based on the 1941 birth of his step-daughter, Janet M. (Kurts) Glessner. We do not yet know where he was born or lived, but we have suggested the possibility that he might have lived in Pueblo, CO, where his step-daughter, Janet M. Glessner, lived and who died there in 2014.

He m. 1st Unknown. They had 1 or more children, including:

  1. Mike Prentice. He m. Linda.
  2. Janet Prentice.

Frederick m. 2nd Monabelle Kurts who was previously m. to LeRoy Kurds. Her obituary reads as follows:

    Monabelle Prentice: Newspaper Obituary and Death Notice, Jackson Citizen Patriot (MI) - Friday, November 29, 2013.

    PRENTICE, MONABELLE M. (KURTS) age 93, of Jackson, passed away at Bethany November 27, 2013. She is survived by two children, Vern (Nancy) Kurts and Janet Glessner, two step-children, Mike (Linda) Prentice and Janet Prentice, nine grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

    She was preceded in death by her son Virgil, her husbands, Leroy Kurts and Frederick Prentice, her parents, Albert and Minnie Denbrock and eight siblings. She was a retiree of Wrigleys, longtime member of the Jackson BPOE (Elks) and enjoyed golf, knitting and crocheting.

    Mrs. Prentice has been cremated. A Memorial Service celebrating her life will be held at the funeral home Thursday, December 5, 2013 at 11 AM with Rev. Richard Brooks officiating.     Janet M. Glessner, 73, born Jan. 19, 1941, passed on to heaven on Feb. 11, 2014.

    She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Clarence F. Glessner; parents, LeRoy and Monabelle Kurts Prentice; step-father, Frederick Prentice; and brother, Virgil Kurts.

    Survived by children, Debra K. Glessner of Brooklyn, Mich., Benjamin F. (Bonnie Jo Gagliano) Glessner, Kimberly A. Glessner; granddaughters, Brittanie and Brianna Glessner, all of Pueblo; brother, LaVern (Nancy) Kurts of Jackson, Mich.; brother and sister-in-law, Marlin and Nancy Huston of Windber, Pa.; step-brother, Mike (Linda) Prentice; step-sister, Janet Yates of Florida; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and many church family and friends of New Hope Worship Center in Albion, Mich.

    She enjoyed using her quilting and sewing abilities to make quilts for her grandchildren and children. She was an active participant at New Hope Worship Center, volunteering her time and sewing abilities toward costumes for their annual Holiday programs.

    The family would like to thank the staff of Life Care Center for the friendship, comfort and care given to Janet during her stay, and to all of the physicians who cared for her during her illness. Cremation, Montgomery & Steward Crematorium. Memorial service, 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 21, 2014, in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel. Interment, Albion Memorial Gardens, Albion, Mich.
