  Who are William Prentice's Parents?

  There is a possibility that William Prentice of Snitterfield might be the William Prentice who ios #1(ii), son of John and Mary Prentice in our Spring 2005 article entitled John Prentice of Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire . That William Prentice was chr. 29 May 1799, Holy Trinity, Stratford-upon-Avon Snitterfield lies only about 4 miles NE of Stratord-upon-Avon

  Another possibility: although only conjecture based on William Prentice living in Worcestershire and having a wife named Sarah, he may be the William Prentice who m. Sarah Flanakin on 9 Aug 1814 in Alderminster, Worcestershire. Alderminster lies about 25 miles SE of Tardebigge. Sarah's year of birth seems likely to have been prior to 1800 and it does not correspond with Sarah's 1806 birth year shown in the 1881 census, but that date may be erroneous.
