1. John H. Prentice, b. 11 Feb 1877, IL, with both parents b. in IL, and d. 4 Dec 1962, Sullivan, IL, per Ancestry.com . He appears in the 1910, 1920 and 1920 Mattoon City, Coles Co., IL census with his wife and family.
He m. Mary D. Cutright. She was b. 22 Nov 1878, IL, and d. 19 Apr 1953, Sullivan, IL. She was the dau. of Benton Cutright and Elizabeth Tucker. Children:

- Wright Prentice, b. c. 1917, IL. He might be the same person as Herbert, above. Not in SSDI. is living at home in the 1930 census.
- James J. (Joseph?) Prentice, b. 25 May 1924, IL. At home in 1930 census.
Living with John and his family in 1910 are his wife's parents, Benton and Elizabeth Cutright..
2. Harry Margolin Prentice, b. 24 Jul 1901, Mattoon, IL, and d. there 30 Jun 1979. He appears in the 1930 Mattoon census wife and family.
He m. Jennie M. Smith. She was b. 3 Aug 1899, PA, and d. 12 Jan 1977, Mattoon, IL. She was the dau. of William (1869-1932) and Ellen (????-1902) Smith.

His parents are identified in Ancestry.com as James Prentice (b. c. 1845-1855) and Sara Robinson, but without any supporting documentation. The only clue we have for now about the parents is is the record of the 1920 and 1930 census showing that both of John's parents were born in IL.
