1. Courtney Prentice may have been b. c. 1930-1935, perhaps in ME. In 2008 he lived in Harpswell, Cumberland Co., ME, and Knoxville, TN.

He m. Faye H. Hunt. She was b. 1936 in the Augusta area of ME, and d. 28 Jun 2008. Her obituary of 1 Jul 2008 in the Lewiston, ME, Sun-Journal reads as follows:

    Faye H. Prentiss, Tuesday, July 1, 2008

    HARPSWELL - Faye H. Prentiss, 72, died on June 28, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was a teacher of kindergarten and first grades for more than 30 years. More than 20 of those years were spent in Rumford schools. She was a resident of Mexico for more than 30 years.

    She was born and raised in Augusta area in 1936, a daughter of George and Angela Hunt. She received both a bachelor's and master's degree in education and started teaching in Readfield in 1958.

    She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Courtney Prentiss of Harpswell and Knoxville, Tenn.; two daughters, Cricket and Suzy Prentiss, both of Knoxville; two sisters, Joyce Jose and her husband, Harry, of Augusta and Marsha Giglio and her husband, David Barker, of Readfield; two brothers, George Hunt Jr. of Augusta and Ernest Hunt of Minot; two grandsons, Tyrel and Rydel; eight nieces and nephews; and 13 great-nieces and nephews.

    She will be missed by all that knew her.

  1. Cricket Prentiss. In 2008 she lived in Knoxville, TN.
  2. Susan/Suzy Prentiss. In 2008 she lived in Knoxville, TN.
