He m. Mary (Minnie) Drucilla Richards Vercoe in 1876 in Victoria, Australia. She was b. 1857, Melbourne, Victoria, and d. 1925, South Yarra, Victoria. She was the dau. of Joseph Vercoe (b. Cornwall, England) and Elizabeth Emma Richards (b. 1830, Falm., and d. 1862, Victoria). Elizabeth Emma Richards was the dau. of Charles Richard and Elizabeth Warden.
