Heretofore he has not been known to live in Oklahoma prior to his death on 23 Apr 1896 in Pueblo, Pueblo Co., CO.

We recently learned of the 1890 Oklahoma Territorial Census Index which identifies him as Roland H. Prentice and shows him as a husband in Beaver Co., OK. Also shown in the index are:

• Helatries C. Prentice, wife, b. c. 1835, OH. That may be a garbling of the name of his 3rd wife, Adeline (Culver), b. c. 1835, OH.

• Geirwad G. Prentice, single, b. c. 1862, IA. It is unclear who that might be. It might be a garbling of the name of his daughter, Mary Prentice, who was b. c. 1863, IA, and about whom we have no further information.

• Dewett C. Prentice, b. c. 1866, IA. That would be his son, Dewitt C. Prentice, b. 22 Jul 1865 in Oakland Mills, Henry Co., IA.

No other information is available about his OK residence as of November, 2007, without a subscription to Ancestry.com's World Deluxe Membership.
