He married Mary Gifford. Born, circa 1812, in Unk., Oswego, NY. Died, after 1875. Census: 1875, in Ossian, Allegany, NY [216]. Burial in Ossian, Allegany, NY. She may, or may not, be a dau. of George Gifford who appears in the 1920 census in Hannibal, Oswego Co., NY; in that year only the name the head of the household was given, but it did show that he had 3 daughters b. between 1810 and 1820. Children:

They appear in the 1880 census in Canisteo, Steuben Co., NY, and in the 1900 census in Mt. Morris, Livingston Co., NY where she is indexed as "Bolle Flydie." She appears in the 1910 Ossian, Livingston Co., NY, by herself. They appear in the 1920 census in Dansville, Livingston Co. NY, as "Isabel Flydia" and George D. Flydia" probably because their German name would have sounded to the census taker, when pronounced, in German, phonetically as "Flydea."

She married George D. Flydie who was b. c. 1854 in NY. He was the son of Adam Flydie (b. c. 1826, Deutchland) and Therissa (b. c. 1835, NY). As noted above, they appear in the 1920 census in Dansville, Livingston Co. NY, as "Isabel Flydia" and George D. Flydia" probably because their German name would have sounded to the census taker, when pronounced, in German, phonetically as "Fly-d-uh." Children:

6. Ethel Flydie, b. c. 1895. At home in Mt. Morris, NY in 1900 census. She is living with her sister, Georgia, in the 1910 census in Williamson, Wayne Co., NY, where she is indexed as "Stepl L. Flyip". At home in Danville, Livingston Co., NY.

Also appearing their home in the 1920 census in Danville, Livingston Co., NY, is a grandson, Carlyle Flydie (Flydia), b. c. 1918, NY. The identity of his parents is not yet known.
