2. Charles L. Prentiss was b. 23 Oct 1945, Williamsport, PA, and d. 23 Dec 2006 at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, PA. His Obituary reads as follows:

    Charles L. Prentiss, 61, of Stoney Gap Road, Cogan Station, died Saturday, Dec. 23, 2006 at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

    He was born in Williamsport on Oct. 23, 1945 a son of Charles A. and Arlene E. Harman Prentiss. He married Sally Meckly on Dec. 30, 1988. He was employed by Piper Aircraft in Lock Haven and Grumman. He was known throughout the area for his sign painting artistry. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Jersey Shore and enjoyed fishing, picnics and ??adventure?? rides. He loved his grandchildren.

    Besides his wife Sally, he is survived by three daughters, Corina M. Prentiss, Cogan Station; Tina K. Breon, Jersey Shore; and Tonya S. Fisher (Lee), Jersey Shore; two step-sons, Todd A. Layton, Cogan Station and Travis A. Layton, Montoursville; two sisters, Debra M. Miller (Robert), Montoursville; Dorine L Skorinko (David), Williamsport; three brothers, John D. Prentiss (Barbara), Trout Run; Dan B. Prentiss (Kimberly), Mill Hall; and Robert L. Prentiss (Ann), Milton; five grandchildren, Aaron and Amanda Robson; Lantz Layton; Isaac and Lydia Breon.

    Charlie's Life Celebration will begin with a visitation from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 27 at the Calvary Baptist Church, 315 Thompson St., Jersey Shore where funeral services will follow on Thursday at 11 a.m. with his Pastor Rev. Jeffery Howell officiating. Interment will be at his family's convenience. Contributions may be made to his church or The American Heart Association, 1704 Warren Ave., Williamsport, PA 17701. The Rearick-Carpenter Funeral Home ??A life celebration home?? of Jersey Shore is handling the arrangements.
