We are seeking descendant information for Asahel Prentice who appears in our John-3 eBook. Here is what we have so far:

233. Asahel LeRoy Prentice (Stephen, 90) was b. 29 Oct 1821, in Franklin, New London, CT [559] and died at an known date after 1860. He appears in the 1850 census Lisbon, N.L., CT. He later appears in the 1860 census in Griswold, N.L., CT. He does not appear in the 1870 or 1880 census.

He married, first, Eunice W. Spaulding, 9 Jun 1844, in Plainfield, Windham, CT. Born, circa 1820 (?), in (of Plainfield, Windham, CT). Died, 4 Dec 1847. Ancestor Charts for her can be found at Ancestry.com (Note: a link in that chart says that Asahel d. 9 Jun 1847, but that is an obvious error since he appears in later census records). Children:

1. Francis Prentice. Born, circa 1838, in CT. Census: 1850, in Lisbon, N.L., CT. Not in 1860 or 1880 census.
2. Henry Lee(?) Prentice. Born, circa 1847, in Lisbon, N.L., CT. Census: 1850, in Lisbon, N.L., CT. Not in 1860 or 1880 census.

He married, second, Jane Douglass, before 1850, in Lisbon, CT [560]. Born, circa 1833, in of Lisbon, CT [561]. Census: 1850, in Lisbon, N.L., CT. Children:

1. Arthur B. Prentice. Born, circa 1857, in CT. Census: 1860, in Griswold, N.L., CT. He might be the Arthur B. Prentice shown in the 1880 Killingly, Windham, CT census in the home of Rensi and Jane H. Robinson. He is called Robinson's son in law, but no wife is shown for him.
