By Linus Joseph Dewald Jr., Editor
Summer 2005 and Revised 1 Jul 2006

Update of 1 Jul 2006: This material has now been merged into our Spring 2001 article about the Prentices of Bilton Ainsty, etc..

1. William Roy Prentis was b. c. 1896 in Mississippi. The only clue we have about his ancestry is that his father was b. in England (per 1930 census). William first appears in the 1930 census in Kissimmee, Osceola Co., FL with his wife, Louise(?), b. c. 1907, Georgia, and children:

  1. William Roy Prentis Jr., b. 9 Aug 1922, FL. . . . . . [2]
  2. Louise V. Prentis, b. c. 1929, FL

William Roy Prentis Jr., b. 2 Jun 1924, FL, and d. 24 May 2004. He was a Major in the US Air Force and is bur. in Sec 434, Site 52, next to his wife, at Florida Natl. Cem., Bushnell, FL.

He m. Eileen Margaret. She was b. 9 Aug 1922 and d. 13 Jun 2001. She is bur. at Sec. 434, Site 52, Florida Natl. Cem., Bushnell, FL.

Prentis, head, b. c. 1843 Leeds, Yorkshire, England;
