1. William Prentice may have been b. c. 1915-1921 at an unknown location, but perhaps in, or near, Harpursville, NY where his wife later died. He d. before 2006. He is almost certainly the William Prentice shown in the SSDI who was b. 5 Aug 1920 and d. 2 Nov 2002 in Harpursville, Broome Co., NY

He m. Doris A. Swan. Whe was b. 1 Jun 1921 and d. 8 Jul 2006. Her obtuary reads as follows:

    Doris A. (Swan) Prentice of Harpursville, June 1, 1921 – July 8, 2006.

    She left this world peacefully to go to her place in Heaven. She was predeceased by her husband, William; daughter, Sandra Stansfield; parents, Leon and Vera Swan; brother, John Swan; sisters, Margaret Quick, Phyllis Kellerman. She is survived by her sisters, Inez and Gerald Ralston, and Eleanor Zipay; her grandchildren, Brock, (Jamie) Brooke and Brent Stansfield; also five great-grandchildren, several brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews; also a special roommate, Debra Moss at Bridgewater.

    There were three special nieces, Pamela Jones, Sharon Stiner and Pam Post, who took care of her. Doris belonged to several organizations and of course her love of BINGO. The family would like to thank the administrators and employees of the Bridgewater Rehabilitation Center. A memorial service date will be announced at the family's convenience.

William Prentice is almost certainly the son of Robert Prentice, b. c. 1892, NY, and his wife, Pearl, b. c. 1909. They appear in the 1930 census in Binghamton, Broome Co., NY.
