In reviewing English census records, we found the following family:

1. Simon Prentice was b. c. 1801 in Essex, England. He appears with his wife and family in the 1841 census in Bocking, Essex. He does not appear in later census records, nor does he appear in the IGI.

He m. Mary who was b. c. 1801, Essex. Children per census records:

  1. Henry Prentice, b. c. 1821, Essex. At home in 1841 in Bocking, Essex. . . . . . . . . . . [2]
  2. Louisa Prentice, b. c. 1826, Essex. At home in 1841 in Bocking, Essex.
  3. Jane Prentice, b. c. 1828, Essex. At home in 1841 in Bocking, Essex.

2. Henry Prentice, b. c. 1821, Essex. At home in 1841 in Bocking, Essex. He may, or may not, be the Henry Prentis shown in the 1851 census in Colchester St. James, Essex, as b. c. 1822 in Boxted, Essex, and with his wife and family. They do not appear in the 1861 and later census records.

He m. Lucy who was b. c. 1824, Italy. Children per census records:

  1. Mary Ann Prentis, b. c. 1842, Colchester, Essex.
  2. Rosella Prentis, b. c. 1844, Colchester, Essex.

Who are Simon Prentice's Parents?>

For now, we have no clue. As mentioned above, Simon does not appear in later census records, nor does he appear in the IGI.
