We received the following information from Annette Hughes, email, 18 Aug 2006:
1. Sarah Prentice may have been b. c. 1750-55.
She m. George Gelson on 7 May 1774 at St. Annes, Soho, Westminster, Middlesex, England. The name Gelson is not very common but often confused with Gilson and in turn confused with Gibson. Possible children (not confirmed):
- Sarah Gelson, b. c. 1776 m. Mr. Alder who d.1863
- Ann Gelson, chr. 1777, St. Andrew's, Holborn. She m. Mr. Mallinson, b. c. 1778 and d. 1878, age 100.
- Robert Gelson, chr. 1779, St. Andrew's, Holborn
- Mary Gelson, chr. 1788, St. Andrew's Holborn, b. c. 1789 and d. 1888, age 99.
- Susanna Gelson, chr. 1791m St, Andrew's Holborn

- Elizabeth Gelson, b. c. 1798. She m. Isaac Bushby in 1823. He d. c. Nov or Dec 1838.
We did a quick IGI search and found 11 women named Sarah Prentice who were b. in the period between 1845 and 1855, including a Sarah Prentice, chr. 10 Apr 1748 at St. James, Westminster, London, dau. of Martin and Sarah Prentice of St. Giles Cripplegate, London and who would seem a likely candidate given her christening in Westminster where Sarah was m. in 1774.
