He appears in WW I death records as a Private, 15th (The King's) Hussars, who d. at age 28 on 8 Aug 1918 where he is identified as the son of Henry Prentice, of Church Cottages, Great Barton, Bury St. Edmund's, Suffolk; husband of Amy Young (formerly Prentice), of 6 Chatteris Rd., New Kent Rd., London. For now, the only clue we have is that Robert Prentice was b. in Illington, Norfolk, which lies about 7 miles west of Banham where the family of William Prentice lived; he was b. c. 1779.
