1. Richard Prentice was b. c. 1791, Winslow, Buckinghamshire, England (per 1851 census). He appears in the 1841 and Winslow census and in the 1851 Winslow census as an Agricultural Labourer with his wife and family. He does not appear in the 1861 and later census records and does not appear in the 2006 IGI. Neither does any other Prentice appear in Winslow in census records nor do the appear in our own Index of IGI locations.
He m. Rebecca, b. c. 1785-6, North Newton, Oxfordshire. She does not appear in the 1861 and later census records.Children:
- Elizabeth Prentice, b. c. 1821, Winslow, Buckinghamshire. At home in 1841 and 1851..
- Ann Prentice, b. c. 1826, Winslow, Buckinghamshire. At home in 1841. She m. Mr. Wilmore and in 1851
is living with her parents, without her husband, and with her children:
- Rebecca Wilmore, b. c. 1848, Winslow, Buckinghamshire. At home in 1851. She does not appear in the 1861 and later census records.
He may, or may not, be related to the Great Horwood, Beachampton and Swanbourne . Swanbourne lies only about a mile to the SE of Winslow and Great Horwood lies only about 4 miles N of Winslow. Investigation is continuing.
