The following article is based on an obituary published 27 Jul 2005:

1. Reuben Prentice was likely b. c. 1937-1945 at an unknown location. He died before 2005.

He m. , apparently as her 2nd husband, Betty Jean "Jeannie". She was b. c. 1946 and d. 16 Jul 2005 at the age of 59. Her obituary reads as follows:

    PRENTICE, BETTY JEAN 'JEANNIE', 59, of Horn Lake, MS, died Saturday, July 16, 2005, at her residence after a long illness. Services were held Thursday, July 21, 2005, at Brantley Funeral Home with burial in Autumn Woods Cemetery. She was preceded in death by her husband, Reuben Prentice, Jr. She is survived by 2 daughters, Bridgette Hudson-House of Horn Lake and Tracy Hudson-Salerno and her husband, Dominic, of San Diego, CA; one son, Robert "Bobby" Hudson and his wife, Sherry, of Horn Lake; a close friend, Jim Stewart of Horn Lake; 5 grandchildren, Larry House, Tyler House, Courtney Hudson, Kelsey Hudson, and William Seckt.

    Jeannie was a Lady of many talents, and her true passions were gardening, interior decorating, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She dedicated her life to her family, and she will be forever missed. The family requests memorial contributions in her honor may be made to the American Heart Association or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Children, or step-children, of Reuben and Betty Jean are:

  1. Bridgette Hudson-House of Horn Lake, MS.
  2. Tracy Hudson-Salerno and her husband, Dominic, of San Diego, CA.
  3. Robert "Bobby" Hudson and his wife, Sherry, of Horn Lake, MS.
