1. John H. Prentice was b. c. 1862 in NY with both parents b. in NY. He appears in the 1910 census in Ivanhoe Twp., Finney Co., KS with his wife and family. He does not appear in the 1920 or 1930 census and may be deceased by 1920 (see below).
He m. Minnie, b. c. 1887, IN, with her father b. in KY and mother in IN. Daughter, per 1910 census:
- Thelma Prentice, b. c. 1908, KS.
Minnie may have m. 2nd E. G. Kondacki (Kordecki, Kondaski), b. c. 1889, NE.. Minnie appears with him in the 1920 census in Liberal, Seward Co., KS, with a daughter, Thelma Prentice, b. c.1909, KS (see Thelma, above) and called a Stepdaughter to E. G. Kondaski. Other children shown in the 1920 census:
- Colvin Kordecki (sp?), twin, b. c. 1915, KS. At home in 1920.
- Dolores Kordecks (sp?), twin, b. c. 1915, KS. At home in 1920.
The only clue we have so far is that both of his parents were b. in NY.
There is a chance he might be the John Prentice, b. c. 1863 who is #287iii in our John-3 eBook whose parents were both b. in NY.
There is a chance he might be the unmarried John H. Prentice (indexed as John W. Prentice) who appears in the 1900 census in Valley, Woods Co., OK, as b. Feb 1863 in NY. Both of his parents were b. in NY.
