We are helping John Cornelius and Kerry Prentice with the following family. With the help of Ian Prentice by his email of 21 Jun 2002, census records and the IGI, here is what we have so far:

1. Henry Prentice was b. c. 1775-1790, probably in, or near, London, Middlesex, England.

He m. Ann (per IGI) and had:

1. Henry Prentice, b. 10 Jul 1810 and chr. 26 Aug 1810, Saint Martin In The Fields, Westminster, London. . . [2]

2. Henry Prentice, b. 10 Jul 1810 and chr. 26 Aug 1810, Saint Martin In The Fields, Westminster, London. He appears in the 1851 census in St. Martin in the Fields, Middlesex, with his wife and family.

He m. Mary, b. c. 1813, Speen, Berkshire. Children per 1851 and 1881 census:

1. Henry Neale Prentice, b. c. 1842, Westminster, Middlesex. . . . . . . . [3]
2. Ellen Mary Prentice, b. c. 1847, London, London, Middlesex (per 1881 census). At home in 1881.
3. Percy W. Prentice, b. c. 1849, Islington (per 1881 census). At home in 1881.
4. Catherine Prentice, b. c. 1852, London, London, Middlesex (per 1881 census). At home in 1881.

Since Henry's middle name is "Neale," it is especially interesting that in the 1851 and 1881 household appears a cousin, Emily Neale, b. c. 1811, Speen, Birkshire.

3. Henry Neale Prentice was b. the September quarter 1842 in Westminster, Middlesex, England and d. June quarter 1928, Wandsworth, at the age of 85. He appears in the 1881 census living at 126 Westminster Rd., Lambeth, Surrey. His occupation was that of a Stationer employing 4 men and 2 boys. His wife,

Henry m. Eliza Jane in the June quarter of 1868 in Islington. She was b. c. 1843 in Middlesex and d. Sep 1911 in Wandsworth, age 69. Children shown were:

1. Edith J. Prentice, b. c. 1871, Lambeth. At home in 1901 census.
2. Arthur H. Prentice, b. c. 1873, Lambeth.
3. Ethel M. Prentice, b. c. 1877, Lambeth. At home in 1901 census.
4. Constance M. Prentice, b. c. 1879, Lambeth. At h ome in 1901 census.
5. Ernest W. Prentice, b. 1880, Lambeth.
6. Winifred Prentice, b. 1883 Lambeth.

For now, we have no further information, but investigation is continuing.
