1. Thomas Prentice was b. Mar 1860 in Ireland. He appears in the 1900 and 1910 census in Manchester, Hartford Co., CT, as a boarder in the home of Thomas Lennon. Not in 1920 or 1930 census.

On 4 Apr 1905, Thomas' nephew, John Prentice, b. c. 1885 of Armagh, Ireland, sailed from Londonderry and arrived in NY on 4 Apr 1905. According to Ellis Island Records, the purposes of the trip was to join his Uncle, Thomas Prentice, of South Manchester, CT. John's occupation was that of a weaver.

They later appear in the 1930 census in Douglas, Worcester Co., MA, with a nephew, Edward C. W. Prentice, b. c. 1915, North Ireland.

The nephew, Edward Prentice is likely the Edward C. Prentice shown in the SSDI as b. 26 Apr 1914, obtained his SS# in MA, and d. 20 Apr 2002 in Worcester, Worcester Co., MA. Also shown in the SSDI as a possible wife is Phyllis Prentice, b. 10 Jan 1913, obtained her SS# in MA, and d. 28 Apr 2001 in Worcester, Worcester Co., MA.
