Update of 2 Dec 2009: Susan Martha Prentis is a daughter of James Peter Prentice of Scotland discussed in our Winter 1999 article at James Peter Prentice of Scotland and Cumberland Co., Illinois . That article now replaces this article.
1. Susan Martha Printis (or Prentis) was likely b. c.1865-1872 at an unknown location.
She m. James Conrod (Conrad?) Brown. They had 1 or more children, including:
- Lennie Berthie Brown, b. 17 Mar 1890, Rose Hill, Crooked Creek Township, Jasper Co., IL and d. 16 Jul 1976 in Bloomington, McLean Co., IL. Bur. Park Hill Cemetery, Bloomington, McLean Co., IL. He m. Rosie Elizabeth Tucker on 28 Apr 1921 in Clinton, Dewitt Co., IL. She was b. 29 Aug 1903 in Witt, Montgomery Co., IL. They are said to have 2 children.
A review of the 1880 census does not disclose any Printis, Prentis or other spelling variation in Jasper County, IL. Either Susan's parents were missed, or the lived elsewhere in 1880.
