2. Andrew Prentice, chr. 23 Apr 1837 Mid Calder, Midlothian, Scotland. He m. Helen Donaldson on 31 May 1859, Bo'Ness, West Lothian, Scotland. Married by Kenneth McKenzie, minister of Bo'ness, witnessed by James Prentice and Janet Donaldson. Helen was b. 26 Nov 1838, Bo'ness, dau. of Thomas Donaldson and Agnes Grant. Their marriage record, provided in Christine Hadden's email of 3 Oct 2004, indicates that:

    Andrew Prentice and Helen Donaldson were married on 31 May 1859 in Bo'ness, county of Linlithgow, after banns were solemnized according to the form of the Church of Scotland. He was aged 22 and his residence was Bathgate, she was aged 20 and her residence was Bo'ness. He was a labourer and a bachelor, she was a spinster ( i.e. not previously married).

    His parents were John Prentice labourer and Mary Gray (familysearch.org shows that he was born on 23 Apr 1837 in Mid Calder, Midlothian). Her parents were Thomas Donaldson and Agnes Grant deceased. (familysearch.org shows that Helen was born on 26 Nov 1838 in Bo'ness). Married by Kenneth McKenzie, minister of Bo'ness, witnessed by James Prentice and Janet Donaldson.
