By email of 9 May 2001, Lorna Webb, not a relative, has provided us with information a William Prentice. We forwarded that information to Ian Prentice, our Prentice expert in England, and he provided further information leading to the following tentative family tree:

1. James Prentice was probably b. c. 1825-30. He m. Anne. Children (per IGI):

  1. William Thomas Prentice, chr 6 Apr 1851, Stoneleigh. . . . . . [2]
  2. Sarah Anne Preentice, chr. 5 Feb 1854, Stoneleigh, Warwick, England
  3. Richard Prentice, chr. 4 May 1856, Stoneleigh, Warwick, England
  4. Louisa Prentice, chr. 6 Jun 1858, Stoneleigh, Warwick, England
  5. Charles Prentice, chr. 29 Jan 1860, Stoneleigh, Warwick, England

2. William Thomas Prentice, chr. 6 Apr 1851, Stoneleigh, Warwick, England. He is probably the same perason as the William Prentice who appears in the 1891 Birmingham, Warwick, census. He was a caster. Also shown in the census was his wife, Mary A., b. c. 1869, Wolverhampton, and their children:

  1. Louisa Prentice, b. c. 1872, Witton, War., Press worker.
  2. Emily Prentice, b. c. 1874, Witton, War., Servant (domestic).
  3. William H Prentice, b. c. 1876, Witton, War., scholar.
  4. Charles Prentice, b. c. 1878, Witton, War., scholar.
  5. George Prentice, b. c. 1880, Witton, War., scholar.
