1. Seth Prentice was b. Jul 1859 in Ireland. He emigrated to the United States in 1880 and was naturalized in 1885. He appears in the 1900, 1920 and 1930 Hartford, Hartford Co., CT census with his wife and family.
He m. Minnie, b. Jul 1859 in Ireland. Children:
- James Prentice, b. Feb 1893, CT. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . [2]
- Lois H. Prentice, b. Sep 1899, CT.
Also shown in their household is Herbert Prentice, b. c. 1916, CT and called a grandson. He may be the Herbert J. Prentice, b. 22 Nov 1916 who received his SS card in CT and who d. 24 Feb 1996 in Altha, Calhoun Co., FL.
2. James Prentice, b. Feb 1893, CT. He may be the James Prentice shown in the SSDI as b. 9 Sep 1892 and who d. May 1973 in Glastonbury, Hartford Co. CT. If so, James appears in the 1930 Glastonbury census with his wife.
He m. Ruth, b. c. 1904, CT.
Also living with John and Ruth in the 1930 census was Ruth Prentice, b. c. 1861, "Irish Free State." It shows the same birth place for both of her parents and that she emigrated in 1890(?). It is unclear whether Ruth is the same person as Seth Prentice's wife, Minnie.
