1. Alexander Prentice, b. c. 1760-67 m. Mary Johnston/Johnstone. The IGI shows 2 different marriage dates and places:

  • 2 Jan 1787 at Libberton, and
  • 9 Dec 1788, Dunsyre

He is probably the son of Alexander Prentice who m. Jean McWat on 28 Aug 1752 at Dunsyre, and perhaps kin to John Prentice who m. Janet Leitch on 14 Mar 1739 at Dunsyre 13 years earlier (per IGI). Children

  2. Jean Prentice, chr. 19 Dec 1790 Libberton, Lanark, Scotland
