1. Thomas Pentice was b. c. 1861 in Scotland, as were both of his parents. He emigrated to the US in 1885 (per 1930 census). He does not appear in Ellis Island Records. He appears in the 1920 and 1930 census in Chicago, IL.
He m. Elsie (Smith?), b. c. 1865, Scotland, as were both of her parents. She emigrated to the US in 1900. No children are shown in either census, but the 1920 census does show a nephew, Robert Prentice, b. c. 1904, IL with both parents b. in Scotland and an unmarried sister, Edeane Smith, b. c. 1872, Scotland, as were both of her parents and who emigrated in 1900.
