Delight's husband, Nathan Tupper, was the brother of Sophia Tupper who married Delight's brother Harris Prentiss.

Delight married 1 (1) Capt. Nathan Tupper Jr. son of Major Nathan Tupper * and Lydia Freeman * on 20 Oct 1799 in Cornwallis, NS by Rev. William Twining, St. Johns Church. Nathan was born on 7 Jan 1779 in Liverpool, Queens, NS. He died about Oct 1810.

Delight (Prentiss) Tupper is listed as his widow in
his probate record..
He died as a master of the schooner Polly on a voyage from St. Croix
to Liverpool according to Simeon Perkins' diary.
He was sometimes referred to as "Nathan the privateersman."

9. Capt. Harris Prentiss * (Oliver , Oliver ) was born 1 about 1785 in Horton, Kings, NS. He died in 1819 in Liverpool, Queens, NS.

Harris Prentice resided in Liverpool, NS. He was a ships captain.

There are many references to him in the Diary of Simeon Perkins.
For example, " On Feb 19, 1812 The Lark sailed about 11 o'clock for
the West Indies, William Thomas, Master, Harris Harrington, Mate, Joseph Brunaby, & Harris Prentice,
Seamen, Gorham, cook."

Harris Prentice was a prize-master of the Privateer Liverpool Packet during the War of 1812.
Harris Prentice was a prize-master of the Liverpool Privateer Schooner "Retaliation" in the War of 1812.

He was lost overboard and drowned off Coffin Island, a lighthouse island just outside Liverpool, NS.
His vessel was wrecked.
He lived in Bristol, NS, next to Liverpool with Hallet Collins, a well-known merchant of Liverpool.
The Prentice family lived in Liverpool, Bristol, and Milton, NS. They had a house at the top of
Union Street in Liverpool.

Harris Prentiss' estate was administered in 1819 in Liverpool, NS, where
he is listed as a master mariner. He left no will.

Harris married 1 Sophia Tupper * daughter of Major Nathan Tupper * and Lydia Freeman * on 29 Dec 1814 in Liverpool, Queens, NS. Sophia was born on 4 Sep 1793 in Liverpool, Queens, NS. She died on 29 Jul 1849.

Sophia Tupper was the sister of Nathan Tupper, Jr., who married Harris' sister Delight Prentice.
