77. Joseph Wesley PRENTICEwas born on Aug 31 1883 in Marshall Co., Alabama. He was buried in 1965 in Brashiers Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery.. He died on May 12 1965 in Marshall Co., Alabama. Cecil H. Prentice Sr. remembers= His father in law gave him a farm near
Shoal Creek. Got his teaching degree from the school at Joppa, AL located some 4 miles west of Arab, AL on the road to Cullman, AL. His daughters also taught school. His farm was located just one mile north of Brashiers Chapel Methodist Church. Lived all of his life there. Was named after his
father's youngest brother, Wesley G.

Charity P. WILLIS (daughter of James T. WILLIS and Mary H. UNKNOWN) was born on Jan 15 1884 in Alabama. She died on Mar 14 1976 in Maeshall County, Alabama. Joseph Wesley PRENTICE and Charity P. WILLIS had the following children:

child138 i. Lillian PRENTICE was born on Oct 8 1909 in Kentucky. She was buried in 1958 in New Canaan Baptist, Cullman Co., Ala.. She died on Feb 9 1958 in Alabama. J. A. Thompson, author of "General History of Marshall County, Alabama" complied by the Arab Historical Society, 1989-1st Edition, printed by Creative Printers, Inc., Albertville, Alabama, noted that Lillian was was
of the teacher at a three room schoolhouse on Georgia Mountain west of Guntersville at Mt. Carmel Community.  Mr Thompson was a writer for a newspaper in Guntersville. This book is a complilation of articles on the history of Marshall County that he wrote.under the title, "South Fry News".
