Apparently unm. and living with mother in Irondale,Jeff. Co., AL at time of 1920 census. iii. Miriam Prentice, b. Jun 1895, AL.She might be the Miriam Prentice shown in the 1920, Anniston, Calhoun Co., AL census. Unmarried. Fn. 6 Daughter of Wesley Prentice and Elizabeth who appear in the 1900 Cullman Co., AL census. Wesley is a descendant of William Prentis of Williamsburg, VA. Fn. 7 Marshal Cummingham of Shelby Co., with a different Prentice line, says Zachariah is the son of James and Margaret Prentice of Shelby County and that both James and Margaret were born in TN c. 1793 and 1798 respectively. Fn. 8 Brother of Zachariah, Fn. 7. Fn. 9 Daugher of Zachariah, Fn. 7.For the Prentices in Shelby Co., AL, they are likely kin of Isabell Prentice (b. 1827), above, daughter of James Prentice (b. c. 1793) and Margaret (surname unknown). James' roots have not yet been identified.
